Designer of
Sweet Sicily Trails
It all began in 2012 with a book: Sweet Sicily by Victoria Granof.
I fell in love with the way she intertwined Sicily's rich history with its legendary pastries and desserts. After turning the final page, I knew I had to experience it for myself.
I set off on a cycling adventure through Sicily's beautiful Baroque towns, stopping in Modica to visit its world-famous chocolate makers. I dreamed of tasting pastries at the iconic Caffè Sicilia, but fate had other plans—it was closed that day. Instead, I enjoyed my very first ricotta cannolo in Modica, and to this day, I still wonder if it was the best I've ever had.
The journey didn't end there. I rented a car and continued exploring the island, discovering its sweet traditions, local artisans, and the stories behind every recipe.
Last year, one of my sweetest travel dreams came true when I met Signora Maria in Erice, whose handmade marzipan creations are celebrated around the world.
Over the years, I've also had the privilege of leading two groups hiking across Sicily, discovering breathtaking trails, hidden villages, and the island's incredible landscapes.
Now, I've combined my two passions into one unforgettable journey: The Sweet Sicily Trail. I truly believe this may be my best itinerary yet—a unique experience that blends spectacular hikes, fascinating history, authentic Sicilian culture, and unforgettable sweet tastings along the way.
Come hungry, stay curious, and leave with a little piece of Sicily in your heart.
